The Agni Protocol Retreat
Reignite your inner fire
4 Days of Ayurvedic Healing & Renewal in Byron Shire
With Vaidya Matheus Macêdo (VIDA VEDA) and Mariana de Castro (VIDA Ayurveda)
A Journey of Renewal
The Agni Protocol Retreat is a deeply restorative Ayurvedic immersion designed to awaken your natural vitality and to balance body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda, this 4-day program offers a complete reset — an opportunity to slow down, realign, and reconnect with your true essence.
In Ayurveda, Agni is your inner fire — the sacred force of digestion, transformation, and clarity. When your Agni burns bright, life feels light, inspired, and full of energy. But when it’s weak or imbalanced, fatigue, stagnation, and confusion take over. This retreat helps you rekindle that inner fire so you can return home feeling nourished, grounded, and radiant.
What to Expect
Ayurvedic-inspired seasonal meals designed to cleanse and balance your system
Daily yoga and guided meditation practices
Workshops and talks around the fire with Vaidya Matheus Macêdo
Deep rest, reflection, and connection with nature
A rejuvenating Sound Healing Journey
Practical tools to continue your Ayurvedic self-care at home
Each day unfolds with intention — sunrise meditation, morning yoga, nourishing meals, rest time, and evening reflection. You’ll explore Ayurveda not just as knowledge, but as a lived experience — one that helps you align with the natural rhythm of life.

Mariana Castro
Mariana de Castro has been teaching Yoga for over 20 years across three continents, sharing her passion for mindful movement and holistic wellbeing. In 2014, she completed her Certificate IV in Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Consultation, integrating Yoga and Ayurveda to support health in a deeply preventive and balanced way. In 2024, she opened her own home-based clinic, VIDA Ayurveda, and joined VIDA VEDA as a student of Vaidya Matheus Macêdo to further deepen her studies. Mariana continues to teach, offer treatments, and guide seasonal cleanses with warmth, authenticity, and genuine care.
Ross Adams
Ross’s journey into Yoga and Mindfulness began after years of struggling with anxiety, depression, and addiction. A Mindfulness Meditation course in Melbourne transformed his life, helping him reconnect with presence, self-compassion, and joy. This path led him to Yoga, and eventually to Byron Bay, where he now teaches and hosts retreats at Byron Yoga Centre. With over a decade of teaching experience, Ross shares these practices with authenticity, warmth, and gratitude. Deeply inspired by the transformation mindfulness brought to his life, he’s passionate about helping others find the same peace and balance within themselves.
Karla Goncalves
Karla’s journey began when she moved from Brazil to Bali 17 years ago, where meditation became her anchor through a period of deep change. Seeking reconnection, she immersed herself in yoga and embraced a conscious, healthy lifestyle that felt true to her nature. Years later, another big transition brought her to Perth, Australia. Now balancing family life and personal wellbeing, she discovered Ayurveda—a wisdom that helped her care for herself while supporting others. Today, Karla blends yoga, breath, Ayurveda, and mindful living to guide her community toward greater balance, strength, and meaning..
Ali Adam
Raised in a lineage of women healers, Alessandra’s European–Brazilian Indigenous roots shaped her early connection to holistic living. Her childhood was filled with seasonal rituals, blessings, protections during life transitions, and herbal practices.
She has studied, practiced, and taught yoga since 2004, holds Reiki I & II, and completed a 500hr Vinyoga Diploma rooted in Krishnamacharya’s teachings at The Yoga Institute in Sydney.
An Ayurvedic Health Advisor, intuitive sound healer, and forever student, Alessandra supports and guides women through motherhood, menopause, and the natural rhythms of life.
