The Business of Life – Reflections After the Autumn Cleanse
As we wrap up another beautiful and deeply resetting Autumn Cleanse, I’ve found myself in quiet reflection. There’s something incredibly empowering about coming out the other side of a cleanse and realising — we can do hard things.
Even when life is messy and full, we showed up. We did our best. And that really is what counts.
The true effects of the cleanse have gently started to settle in — a clearer mind, a calmer nervous system, and a lighter, healthier body and spirit. But this time around, something was different. Most of us in the group found ourselves right in the thick of life’s busyness. One thing after another, emotionally and practically. Ideally, during a cleanse, we try to slow down and strip back our schedule, allowing time and space for the body to really rest, reset, and release. But for many this round, life didn’t let up. It just kept flowing along — fast, full, and demanding.
It made me ponder... How do we really make space for life to be slow?
Can we actually step off the treadmill for a while?
This thought led me to consider offering future cleanses in a more contained setting — maybe a retreat-style program, where participants can step into a dedicated space with a clear schedule, nourishing meals, treatments, time for rest, and a supported rhythm that allows the body and mind to fully drop into the experience.
Of course, there’s still the beauty of doing the cleanse from home, and staying connected with our group — just as we’ve done. But having the option of gathering together in-person, in a retreat environment, could be such a supportive and immersive offering.
So I’m putting the feelers out — what are your thoughts?
Would you be interested in joining a future cleanse as a retreat? Or do you prefer being at home, in your own space, with guidance along the way?
I’d truly love to hear from you — just reply or reach out directly.
Back to life… and the reality is, things are busy. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still make space for deep care. Although this round may not have looked “perfect” on paper, we all moved through it the best we could. And that’s what really matters. Progress, not perfection.
We stayed present. We came back to ourselves. We kept lifting ourselves up and starting again — and again.
Here we go — reset, renewed, and ready for the next season ahead.
Have you let your leaves fall?
Big love,
