Discovering the Beauty of Vastu Shastra & the Joy of Our Spring Cleanse

Over the past six weeks, I’ve been diving deep into the study of Vastu Shastra: the ancient Vedic science of architecture… and I must say, it’s been truly amazing and transformative. I would have never imagined how fascinating and practical this knowledge could be!

Vastu, often referred to as the “yoga of space,” considers how the sun’s direction, the earth’s magnetic field, the planets, and the natural elements influence our wellbeing. What has amazed me the most is how simple adjustments in our living spaces can create such a profound effect on our health, energy, and even our sleep.

I’ve started applying some of these principles in my own home, small shifts, like reorienting certain spaces, creating balance through the elements, and bringing more awareness to directionality…and I can already feel the difference. It’s both simple and deeply powerful at the same time.

Practices like Puja and having an altar at home, set up in a direction that aligns with the flow of nature, bring such a sense of harmony and clarity to daily life. I feel incredibly grateful to Mariana Brasil for so generously sharing her deep understanding and experience of Vastu over the past few months and of course to VIVA VEDA and my teacher Vd. Matheus Macedo for guiding this beautiful learning journey.

Spring Cleanse Update

On another note, here at VIDA Ayurveda, we’re right in the middle of our Spring Cleanse, and it’s been such a heartwarming experience. This season we have a beautiful group of participants journeying together, supporting one another through this gentle reset.

We’ve now reached that special turning point in the cleanse, when the fog starts to lift, the body feels lighter, the mind clearer, and the energy begins to rise again. It’s always so inspiring to witness everyone’s dedication and the transformations that unfold through these ten days.

In the fast-paced world we live in, pausing, simplifying, and slowing down are acts of deep self-care. Cleansing, not just through food, but also through rest, routine, and mindful awareness, helps us reset our system and reconnect with what truly matters.

If you feel this might be something you’d like to experience, I’d love to hear from you. You can join the waitlist for our next group cleanse, or we can organise a private cleanse tailored to your needs and schedule.

I’m also excited to see how this new understanding of Vastu Shastra will weave into my Ayurvedic practice, bringing even more depth to the way we support balance, harmony, and healing in daily life.

With gratitude and warmth,
